15th April Part 2: IPCC explainer: electricity emission growth

In the first part of a new feature, Darragh, Anna and Ciara look in depth at a section of the IPCC report. Here they note that while globally renewables are increasing, so too is electricity demand and emissions are rising. The report also mentions efficiency in housing being somewhat cancelled out by increases in house size. This effect is also found (though not in the report) where sales in SUVs have cancelled out emissions reductions from electric vehicles and where fashion brands can use clever accounting to claim emissions are going down when they're actually going up.
